National Airports Corporation (NAC) is all set to deliver its inaugural virtual - Training Managers Course (TMC) from October 26th to 30th, 2020.
This course is one of several courses under the Training Competency Development component of the International Civil Aviation Organisation - Global Aviation TRAINAIR PLUS Program (GATPP). “We are beginning a new era for aviation training in PNG and the region,” said Ephraim Wasem Acting Managing Director of NAC.
“This training will be offered online and NAC is very pleased to be running this training for the first time since our accreditation with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Global Aviation TRAINAIR PLUS Program in late December, 2019,” added Wasem.
Mr Wasem said: “NAC’s vision for the future is to set up a regional aviation academy. “Our accreditation with ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Program sets the foundation for us to realise this vision in future.”
The Training Managers Course (TMC) is for Human Resources Managers, Training and Development Managers, Operations Managers, HR Coordinators and Training Coordinators, of companies and organizations working within the Aviation Industry including, Security, Emergency Responses and Safety who are responsible for establishing, managing, coordinating and administering training for aviation.
The course aims to address operational aspects of managing an aviation training organization that meets the required standards of operation, training, delivery and quality management.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to manage their operational teams to;
• Identify requirements for establishment of an aviation training organization
• Evaluate the level of compliance of a training center with ICAO provisions
• Develop an action plan to ensure compliance of a training organization with relevant international requirements.
