Mr Rueben Aila

Chairman

Rueben is an experienced consultant, working for mining, oil and gas resource projects across Papua New Guinea. Rueben held a senior corporate executive role as the General Manager of Origin Energy (PNG), and was previously the Chairman of Post PNG. He has contributed to the IRC Reform program for many years and currently sits as the Chairman of the IRC Audit Committee. Rueben was involved in Cocoa rehabilitation and small-holder training in sustainability, and is now engaged with the national content plan for the mining and resources sector. He is a strong follower of Rugby Union in PNG.

Mr Jerry Agus

Deputy Chairman

Jerry is the CEO of the Tourism Promotion Authority (TPA). Previously, he served as the Director of Policy and Planning for nine years, playing a key role in drafting and launching the Master Plan for Tourism 2007-2017. Before working with the TPA Jerry ran his own successful consultancy business.

Mr Richard Yopo

Mangaing Director/ CEO

Richard has over 20 years of Senior Executive Management experience, working with some Large corporate and international business, including Chevron, Bank South Pacific and ANZ (PNG). He has a strong understanding of the financial market having spent 13 years working with both Bank South Pacific and ANZ where he held senior Commercial and Lending Management roles. Richard's last position with the banking industry was as the Head of Retail Banking for Pacific North West ANZ (PNG), which oversees the whole retail branch network. Prior to his appointment as the Acting Managing Director/CEO, Richard spent the last four years heading the Commercial arm of NAC as its General Manager Commercial. Richard brings with him strong financial, commercial and strategic skills to the team.

Mr Roy H Mumu, OBE

Transport Secretary

Roy has a wealth of experience within the transport sector. Previously, he was CEO of the National Roads Authority. Roy is a trained engineer with specialised technical skills. He has vast experience within the public sector, working with multi-lateral partners.

Mr Dairi Vele

Treasury Secretary

Dairi holds an Economics Degree from the Australian National University. He has in-depth knowledge and experience concerning funding, infrastructure and project development. Dairi is also on the board of Ok Tedi Mining.

Mr Wako Napasu

Represents Tourism

Wako owns a successful Tour Operator business in Papua New Guinea. He started the operation after serving in the education department for 15 years. Wako has offices in Mt Hagen, Tari and Port Moresby. He also owns the Makara Bird View Lodge in Ambua, Tari Hela Province. Wako has over 15 years experience in the Tourism industry, with a vast network of contacts both locally and internationally. Before his appointment to the NAC Board, Wako served numerous tourism organisations, including the PNGTPA board. Additionally, he is the Managing Director of Makara Construction and Engineering Limited, and Yarik Transport Services Limited. Wako has been a vocal advocate in promoting the tourism industry in Papua New Guinea.

Mr Michael Koisen

Represents Civil Aviation

Michael is currently the CEO of the Teachers Savings and Loan Society. He brings strong corporate governance to the board and has been appointed Chair of the Audit Committee. Michael is also a non-executive director of the board of Kumul Consolidation Holdings. Michael's other positions include Chairman of Dominion Insurance Group, Chairman of Capital Insurance, and Non-Executive Director on the Credit Corporation Board. Previously, he was a board member of Airlines PNG.

Miss Romata Geno

Company Secretary

Romata is a lawyer by profession with a Degree in Law. She also has a Post Graduate in Law. She was admitted to the Bar in 2009 and was practicing law in Papua New Guinea before embarking on a corporate career. Companies Romata has worked for include Cardo, Kina Securities and Teachers Savings and Loans Society. She was the Legal Manager for Nasfund Savings and Loans before joining NAC. Romata is the company secretary to the board of NAC
