Rueben Aila


Rueben is an experienced consultant. He has worked for mining, oil and gas resource projects across PNG. He also held senior corporate executive role with Origin Energy (PNG) as the General Manager and was the previous chairman of Post PNG. He has contributed to the IRC Reform program for over a number of years and currently sits as the Chairman of the IRC Audit Committee.

He has also been involved in Cocoa rehabilitation and smaller holder training in sustainability over many years and he is currently involved with the national content plan for mining and resources sector and is a strong follower of Rugby Union in PNG

Jerry Agus

Deputy Chairman

Jerry is the CEO of Tourism Promotion Authority. Prior to that, he served for nine years as director policy and planning and played a key role in drafting and launching the Master Plan for Tourism 2007-2017. He also ran his own successful consultancy business prior to taking the new role at TPA.

Richard Yopo

Acting MD/CEO

Richard has over 20 years of Senior Executive Management Experience working with some Large Corporate and International Business which includes Chevron, Bank South Pacific and ANZ (PNG). He has a strong understanding of the financial market having spent 13 years working with both Bank South Pacific and ANZ where he held senior Commercial & Lending Management role. Richard's last position with the banking industry was the Head of Retail Banking for Pacific North West ANZ (PNG) which oversees the whole retail branch network. Prior to his appointment as the Acting Managing Director/CEO, Richard spent the last four years heading the Commercial arm of NAC as its General Manager Commercial. Richard brings with him strong financial, commercial and strategic skills to the team.

Mr. Roy H. Mumu, OBE Transport Secretary

Roy brings a wealth of experience from the transport sector. He was previously the CEO for National Roads Authority. He is an engineer by profession with technical and procurement specialise skills. He has a strong public sector background with vast experience in working with multi-lateral partners.

Dairi Vele
Treasury Secretary

Dairi is an economist by profession and holds an Economics Degree from the Australian National University. He brings wealth of knowledge of funding, infrastructure and project development. Dairi is also on the board of Ok Tedi Mining.

Wako Napasu
Represents Tourism

Wako resigned from teaching and runs a successful Tour Operator business in Papua New Guinea after serving the education department for 15 years. He has offices in Mt Hagen, Tari and Port Moresby. He also owns and runs Makara Bird View Lodge in Ambua, Tari Hela Province. He has over 15 years experience and has vast knowledge of the industry with a wide network both locally and internationally.He has previously served for two terms in the PNGTPA board and number of other tourism organizations in the country before his appointment to the NAC board. He is also the Managing Director of Makara Construction & Engineering Limited & Yarik Transport Services Limited. Wako has been a strong advocate in promoting the tourism industry in Papua New Guinea.

Michael Koisen
Represents Civil Aviation

Michael is currently the CEO for Teachers Savings & Loan Society. He brings strong corporate governance to the board and will chair the Audit Committee. He is also a non-executive director to the board of Kumul Consolidation Holdings. His other directorship includes - Chairman of Dominion Insurance Group, Chairman of Capital Insurance and Non-Executive Director on Credit Corporation Board. He was also a previous board member of Airlines PNG

Romata Geno
Company Secretary

Romata is a lawyer by profession with a Degree in Law. She also has a Post Graduate in Law. She was admitted to the Bar in 2009 and was practicing law with some of the law firms in Papua New Guinea before embarking on a corporate career. Some of the companies she has worked for include Cardo, Kina Securities and Teachers Savings & Loans Society. She was the Legal Manager for Nasfund Savings & Loans before joining NAC.  Romata is the company secretary to the board of NAC
